Seeking Safety
When: Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 pm
Where: ABC Office
Seeking Safety is a women's group that focuses on psychoeducation and coping skills that includes the following principles:
1. Safety as the overarching goal (helping patients attain safety in their relationships, thinking, behavior and emotions)
2. Integrated treatment (working on both post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance use at the same time)

 

Enhanced Illness Management and Recovery (EIMR)
When: Dates and Times Vary
Where: ABC Office

EIMR is based upon IMR (Illness Management and Recovery) which is an evidence-based practice that is recovery-oriented and person-centered. EIMR takes approximately six to eight months to teach all of the information and skills.The groups are normally co-facilitated by Master's level mental health and chemical dependency clinicians.

EIMR is a step-by-step approach that assists people with both mental health and substance use struggles.

People participating in the EIMR group will be assisted in:

- setting meaningful goals for themselves

- making informed decisions about their treatment

- acquiring information and skills to develop greater mastery over the symptoms of their illnesses

- developing skills for reducing relapse, dealing with stress and coping with symptoms

- providing information about how and where to obtain needed resources

- making progress toward their own personal recovery.

 

Outpatient Treatment
When: Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-6:00pm
Where: ABC Office
ABC's chemical health treatment includes a variety of therapeutic modalities that are utilized to provide person-centered, individualized treatment and recovery management.

 

Intensive Outpatient Treatment
When: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm
Where: ABC Office
ABC's chemical health treatment includes a variety of therapeutic modalities that are utilized to provide person-centered, individualized treatment and recovery management.

 

Relapse Prevention
When: Tuesday from 4:00-6:00pm
Where: ABC Office
Relapse prevention in an integral tool for people who are "brushing up" on coping skills following a relapse, or who are "stepping down" from a higher level of care (i.e. outpatient). ABC's relapse prevention also facilitates skill building for patients with co-occuring mental health struggles.

 

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
When: Monday 4:00-5:30pm
Where: ABC Office
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) has been shown to be effective at treating many psychological disorders and problems including addiction, difficulties in conforming to societal norms, suicidal ideation, trauma and more. DBT seeks to help individuals regulate their emotions in order to overcome unhealthy patterns of behavior and thinking. This DBT skills group teaches skills to address life challenges that can feel overwhelming. The 26 week group covers four modules: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness.

 

Smart Recovery
When: Thursday from 12:00-1:00pm
Where: ABC Office

The weekly SMART Recovery support group is open to the public.

SMART Recovery facilitators are required to be trained in SMART Recovery Information and live in the community.

It teaches how to:

(1) Enhance motivation to abstain

(2) Cope with urges

(3) Manage thoughts, feelings and behaviors

(4) Balance momentary and enduring satisfactions
